Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Wouldn't you like to punch the guy who wrote those lyrics in the nose. We want to thank all the people who braved the snow storm and came to our Dec 15th gig. We also want to thank Ed and everyone at Cabetto's Tap for having us play there. Here's an animated Frank Zappa with the Yellow Snow song. Follow this link, it may expand your definition of rock and roll. More musical stuff next time. Happy New Year! - O.P.

BUY ME THIS GUITAR!!!!!

The Reverend Daredevil 290. I like. Unfortunately I'm still paying for my new bass. But, if someone was kind enough to buy it for me? I would gladly accept. Check out all the cool Reverend guitars. - O.P.

Tempus Fugit

Does anyone know what happened to November? I think I missed it all together. Soon we will be playing Cobetto's again. December 15 to be exact. A lot of people seemed to be having a good time at the Nov. 3 gig. (Oh, hey, there was a day in November!) We are looking forward to crankin' out the rock and roll again. So, come and check us out. A fun time will be had by most. There is not much in the way of news. So, after conferring with my friend Coffeehouse Mouse, he helped me pick out some sites and such, to make things a little more entertaining. John Fogerty has a new Cd released a couple of months ago and the songs I've heard are great. I plan to own that CD. (John was the main dude in Credence Clearwater Revival, just in case you were not privy to that bit of knowledge) Check out his site. and this Letterman appearance. Here is a cool video of Los Lonely Boys with Willie Nelson doing a cover of Cisco Kid. And last but not least, misheard lyrics. - O.P.

Spaced Out

Sorry for the big gap in posts to the blog. But, as you can see, I've been a little spaced out lately. - O.P.

Upgrades, Upgrades, Upgrades!

Darren, out of the goodness of his heart, has purchased a new Sampson 1000W powered mixer and two official Big Ass brand speaker towers with duel 15 inch speakers, for the band to use. The speakers are being shipped and currently in route to Hillsboro. ( can you say Public Address )

Benny got himself a new super-duper kick drum pedal with more thump per pump. Or something like that. As for me, MY BASS IS DONE and it's on the web. It was built entirely by a guy named Jimmy Wilson of Landing Bass. To see more photos of my bass and Jimmy's other cool basses click HERE. To see my bass click L300 then pic#1 top photo and pic#6.

We are preparing to Rock and Roll. - O.P.

Lunacy On Hiatus

Let's pause all the silliness, so we can thank those who have posted comments. We appreciate the interest. It's you guys who have inspired this absurdity. ( I think that means it's all your fault ) To answer the question of gig dates: Due to difficulties in scheduling, we currently do not have any confirmed dates to play ( kinda sucks huh ) When we know anything for sure, you will see it here. Also, we want to thank all the people who came to see us at the July 21st Cobetto's gig. You guys knew ahead of time that we were playing, and you came anyways. Wow, that was great. So, in the meantime, while you're waiting for us to play again, check out this band I heard on the Sirius satellite radio channel called The Underground Garage. This site has five songs that play all the way through. The go-go song is a real jump up on the dance floor kind of thing. The band's name is The Breakers (DK). Later. - O.P.

Benny and Buddy

No, no, no, you got that Boy George/Benny thing all wrong. Recently the band went to see Madam Ruth. You know, that gypsy with the gold capped tooth. Well, she looked into her crystal ball and did a bunch of mystic mumbo jumbo crap. Come to find out, she discovered that Benny has some kind of super-paranormal psychic link to the great jazz drummer Buddy Rich. Check out the photo they even sort of look alike. It seems that when Benny goes into one of his solos, he channels the spirit of Buddy Rich and the two minds become one. Benny's style of playing is very much like Buddy's was. Watch Buddy destroy Gene Krupa in this drum battle, and remember it the next time you see Benny play. - O.P.

Boy Orzo

Oh great, the secret is out. Chi-Chi I don't know how you found out, he's kept it hidden for years. Only a select few trusted friends and colleagues knew the real truth about Orzo's unseemly past, and they were all sworn to absolute secrecy under threat of horrible retribution. But now that this sordid period of Orzo's life has come to light, here he is as he appeared then. - O.P.

If your on 4th bass, is that a homerun?

The new bass is in the near future. The pickguard hanging off the edge is the one to be used. - O.P.

Chi - Boogie and Fried

Our Redwood Inn gig went pretty well. There was a good crowd of people. I played sloppy until my old fart fingers limbered up. By third set we were crankin' and the dance floor was full. Except for the train wreck that Wooly Bully was, we did good and fun was had by most. There were a couple of people who were very familiar with the phrase "falling down drunk" Speaking of phrases. Those of you who may be confused by the phrase "freedom of choice", Busted Flatt is like the radio. If you don't like what you hear, you can change the channel. If we play like crap or you don't like what we play, nobody is forcing you to stick around listen. That's it for now, except that the gig dates listed yesterday are now in question. When confirmed, I will remove or change them. - O.P.
